Sangeeta Sandrasegar

Sangeeta Sandrasegar is a Melbourne-based artist working across drawing, painting, sculpture, and installation. Her research-based practice explores postcolonial thinking, migrant identity, and the relationship between communities and homelands, with shadow running through the work as both a visual device and a conceptual one.

She has exhibited nationally at the Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney, the Australian Centre of Contemporary Art Melbourne, and the Gallery of Modern Art Queensland, as well as in major international exhibitions and biennials across New Zealand, Korea, India, and the USA. She has completed commissions for the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, the Australian War Memorial, and the Australian Tapestry Workshop. She holds a PhD from the Victorian College of the Arts and has been the recipient of grants for residencies in Australia, Italy, Spain, France, India, Malaysia, and Japan. She is represented by Niagara Galleries, Melbourne.

Sam Cranstoun

Sam Cranstoun is a Brisbane-based multidisciplinary artist whose research-driven practice examines the ways history is constructed, represented, and understood. Working across collage, painting, sculpture, drawing, watercolour, and video, his work explores the visual languages that shape our perception of historical narratives, using significant people, events, and archival imagery as points of departure.

He is represented by Milani Gallery Brisbane, Sophie Gannon Gallery Melbourne, and Sullivan + Strumpf. His works are held in public collections including the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, the UQ Art Museum, QUT Art Museum, and the Museum of Brisbane. He has been a finalist for the Archibald Prize, the Churchie Prize, and the National Works on Paper Award, and was the recipient of the 2016 Art Bank QPAC Commission. He lectures in painting at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.
